The theme, combined with a Japanese garden style, makes it a very comfortable place to be.
Let's start with their most famous fish maw chicken soup.
It's incredibly rich and creamy, a truly collagen-rich broth with a sticky texture.
The portion of fish maw is also very generous.

A local friend took me to a hot pot restaurant in Futian District.
Huoxi is said to be a Black Pearl restaurant, considered the pinnacle of fish maw chicken soup in Shenzhen.
The restaurant's decor is in a Japanese garden style, cleverly using Japanese screens for privacy. There are also private rooms for larger groups, perfect for birthday celebrations with friends. The entire dining environment feels like being in a garden – very comfortable!
The service was excellent: the staff proactively provided aprons and hair ties. Their attentive help in peeling shrimp shells and removing shrimp veins was a big plus!
The restaurant's ventilation system is also commendable; the smell didn't cling to my clothes.

As soon as I entered, I saw a lot of celebrity photos taking place, including Nicholas Tse, Shawn Yue, and Josie Ho... This place is most likely owned by a celebrity's friend. The best part is, if you tell them you're celebrating a birthday, they'll give you a private room, decorate it for free, and they won't check your ID. It was a little intimidating the first time I went.
This restaurant is mid-range and upscale, with dedicated waiters and even a dedicated person to prepare the sauces. Just press the button and someone will come in to serve you. If you ask for a photo, they'll even turn on the white light. So professional! 😂
Speaking of the food, their signature fish maw and chicken soup is incredibly delicious, thick, rich in collagen, and incredibly flavorful. The waiter will chop the large chicken breast for you and then serve it with the sand ginger, so nothing is wasted. The chicken is incredibly tender.
The biggest surprise was the salt and pepper corn. It was lightly oiled, and the salt and pepper flavor permeated every grain, even the stalks.
The lazy shrimp at Typhoon Shelter actually have a shrimp shrimp keeper who peels them for you. Perfect for those who don't like manual labor or needing to peel them.
The largest portion was the beef fried rice, which was practically impossible for two people to finish.
After eating with FD, the staff at Wu La La offered free black truffle panna cotta, longevity noodles, and sawdust pudding with a candle. Apparently, these are given to guests celebrating birthdays, so if you go, don't ask for too much.
